Apartment Drywall Repair Handyman

The apartments in our building are more than 60 years old. Anything that’s been up for that long is going to have some problems, and I noticed the first one today. I was doing laundry in the other room when I heard a loud crash. I had mounted a TV on the wall in the living room, and the mount ripped out the drywall and fell onto the ground. The TV was cracked and there were chunks of paint everywhere, so I might need a handyman to fix it. I found handyman services to repair the drywall and they said it would take 30 minutes to do. I watched as they plastered the hole in the wall, smoothed it out with a special trowel tool, then used fans to quickly dry it. After that, they used a drywall mixture to cover over the plaster prior to repainting the wall. The whole ordeal took around an hour, but at least the wall is fine again. I bought a new TV on Amazon and shipped it to my house. This time, I’m going to find a stud to put the mount in so it doesn’t fall. It’s surprising how weak the wall was though. I really thought the last mount was in a stud, but I could be wrong. Thankfully handyman services are affordable.
