Several beach accesses are available in Madeira Beach including the County Park at 14400 Gulf Boulevard. This 1.5-acre site features 450 feet of beach on the Gulf of Mexico, ample parking, restroom facilities and beach showers.

St. Pete Beach

This seven-mile-long barrier island is home to spectacular sites that include five miles of white sandy beach and the renowned Don Cesar beach Resort and Spa. St. Pete beach is a tourist mecca filled with unusual gift shops, evenings of entertainment and watersports galore. Access to the beach is available at Upham Beach Park on Gulf Boulevard from 67th to 70th Avenue and Pinellas County Beach Access Park on Gulf Boulevard at 44th Avenue.

Pass-A-Grille

This undeveloped barrier island is known for excellent shelling, sunbathing and bird watching opportunities. Egmont Key

This 440-acre island is the home of the last government-manned lighthouse (built in 1858) in the United States. Several boats offer snorkeling excursions to this island. Visitors can snorkel over grass beds and ruins of two gun batteries from the fort, or enjoy the unspoiled beach.

True to a beach that has been ranked number one in the continental United States, Fort De Soto Park offers 900 unspoiled acres and seven miles of beaches. A unique area made up of five islands, the park features a fort built during the Spanish-American War on the largest of the islands, Mullet Key. Two fishing piers, camping areas, a concession stand, bathroom facilities and covered picnic shelters are available. Fort De Soto Park also offers a popular biking and skating trail as well as rental facilities for canoes, kayaks and bicycles. There is an 85 cents toll on the bridges leading into the park.
