Florida's Beach is where you want to be!
Close to everything, yet miles away. A beautiful peninsula
located on Florida's West coast, the area is bordered by the
Gulf of Mexico to the west and by Tampa Bay to the east. We
offer 35 miles of white-sand beaches on some 20 barrier islands.
We're within minutes of many popular Florida attractions. Just
30 minutes to Busch Gardens in Tampa and 90 minutes to Walt
Disney World Resort, Sea World and Universal Studios Escape in
Orlando.

This is a listing of the second 11 area beaches.
North Redington Beach
This friendly little town nestled on a pristine beach is
peaceful, quiet and an ideal place to relax. Beach access points
can be found between 170 - 173rd streets along Gulf Boulevard.
Redington Beach
This small community maintains two superb beachside parks – one
on the Gulf for children and active adults, and the other on the
bay side for a quieter, more relaxed experience. The beach
access for this area is at 163rd Avenue East.
Madeira Beach
Madeira Beach is most famous for the scenic harbor of John’s
Pass, with the charming John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk, a
collection of shops, galleries and restaurants. This area also
features commercial and charter fishing as well as casino and
sightseeing cruises. Several beach accesses are available in
Madeira Beach including the County Park at 14400 Gulf Boulevard.
This 1.5-acre site features 450 feet of beach on the Gulf of
Mexico, ample parking, restroom facilities and beach showers.
Treasure Island
Laid back beaches, fishing, boating and nights filled with some
of the area’s best dining and entertainment make Treasure Island
a favorite. Beach access is available at six parking areas along
Gulf Boulevard including Treasure Island Beach Access Park at
10400 Gulf Boulevard. This access offers ample parking, restroom
facilities and beach showers. Three public boat ramps and a
marina are also available.
Sunset Beach
This small, relaxed beach community features a unique mix of
restaurants, bars and residential dwellings. A public access
parking lot is available. Sunset Beach runs along a small road
called West Gulf Boulevard that continues after Gulf Boulevard
turns toward St. Pete Beach.
St. Pete Beach
This seven-mile-long barrier island is home to spectacular sites
that include five miles of white sandy beach and the renowned
Don Cesar beach Resort and Spa. St. Pete beach is a tourist
mecca filled with unusual gift shops, evenings of entertainment
and watersports galore. Access to the beach is available at
Upham Beach Park on Gulf Boulevard from 67th to 70th Avenue and
Pinellas County Beach Access Park on Gulf Boulevard at 44th
Avenue.
Pass-A-Grille
Pass-A-Grille Beach is the first established town on Florida's
West Coast barrier islands and is a registered National Historic
District. This area has no condominiums or high-rise buildings,
keeping it a unique slice of old Florida. Sunset watches are
popular at the area's public-access beach. The beach runs from
1st to 22nd Avenues along Gulf Way and ample public parking is
available.
Shell Key
This undeveloped barrier island is known for excellent shelling,
sunbathing and bird watching opportunities. Numerous boats from
St. Pete Beach and John's Pass offer sightseeing packages that
take guests to Shell Key for sunbathing and dolphin watching
near the island. It has also been named as one of the five most
important sites in Florida for nesting and migrating endangered
shore and sea birds.
Egmont Key
This 440-acre island is the home of the last government-manned
lighthouse (built in 1858) in the United States. Now a wildlife
refuge, Egmont Key was a camp for captured Seminole Indians
during the Third Seminole war and was a Union Navy base during
the Civil War. Several boats offer snorkeling excursions to this
island. Visitors can snorkel over grass beds and ruins of two
gun batteries from the fort, or enjoy the unspoiled beach.
Fort DeSoto Park
True to a beach that has been ranked number one in the
continental United States, Fort De Soto Park offers 900
unspoiled acres and seven miles of beaches. A unique area made
up of five islands, the park features a fort built during the
Spanish-American War on the largest of the islands, Mullet Key.
Two fishing piers, camping areas, a concession stand, bathroom
facilities and covered picnic shelters are available. Fort De
Soto Park also offers a popular biking and skating trail as well
as rental facilities for canoes, kayaks and bicycles. There is
an 85 cents toll on the bridges leading into the park.
Tierra Verde
This beautiful collection of islands has several roadside areas
that are popular for fishing and windsurfing. The area also
features several marinas for boat rentals or charters.
